Notices to Readers

1School and off-campus library users with a valid school ID card may enter the library by the front auto-gates. Off-campus users without a school ID should carry a valid form of identification to check-in at the information desk. After entering the library, please protect your personal belongings to avoid unnecessary loss.

2Other users that come to our library for work or visiting should take their introduction letters or ID certificates and show them to staff in the office on Floor 1.

3A school ID card can only be used by its owner. Any consequences caused by lending or losing an ID card shall be borne by the card owner.

4Please keep the library quiet after entry, and refrain from making noise or reading loudly. Silence mobile phones and electronics, and do not answer phone calls in the reading area. Also, please do not leave personal belongings in the library lockers overnight. Items should be removed from the lockers at the time of exit.

5Observe order within the library. Do not move tables or chairs at random, and do not occupy reading seats with personal items. Also, please do not occupy deposit box overnight to store items. Deposit box shall be cleared each after library is closed, and loss of items shall be at their own risk.

6Library is a key fire prevention unit. In order to ensure safety, please do not smoke or use fire anywhere in the library. Offenders shall be informed to subordinate departments, and suspended of borrowing for 1 to 3 months depending on the seriousness.

7Maintain clean and sanitation within library, do not bring food such as drinks into reading area. Do not spit and litter.

8Take care of books and all kinds of facilities within library. Stealing and damaging books (cutting, tearing, painting and drawing) as well as vandalism, shall make compensations and be treated in accordance with school and library regulations.

9West side on the second floor is area for periodicals, newspaper and reference books, which can only be read within the library and shall not be lent out.

10Books selected from the shelf shall be put back to reading table or placed at the information desk of each floor after reading, making it convenient for library staff to sort.

11Without permission, please don't post or distribute advertising and other materials inside and outside the library.

12Be civilized readers, abide by the regulations of the library consciously, and support the library staff in accordance with the rules.
