Rules for Library Use

1Users shall enter the library using their own valid campus ID card. Users must exit the library via the security gates.

2Users must use the automated gates when entering the library, and should not carry bags into the reading area. Bags must be stored in the provided lockers. Please protect your valuables in order to avoid unnecessary loss.

3Campus ID cards can only be used by their owner, and should not be lent to others. Any consequences that result from the lending or loss of a campus ID card will be the responsibility of the card owner.

4Please keep the library quiet, and refrain from making noise or reading loudly. Upon entering the library, please switch cellphones and other electronics to vibration or mute mode. Users should not answer or make phone calls in reading areas.

5Library is a high-risk area for fires. In order to ensure safety, please do not smoke or use fire anywhere in the library. Offenders shall be reported to their departments, and will be suspended from borrowing for 1 to 3 months depending on the seriousness of the offense.

6Maintain cleanliness within the library. Do not bring food or drinks into reading areas. Do not spit or litter.

7Please use care when using books and other facilities within the library. Users will be required to provide compensation for loss of or damage to books and other library material in accordance with school regulations.

8Books removed from the shelf should either be left on reading tables, or placed at one of the information desks located on each floor after use, for the convenience of library staff.

9Please do not post or distribute advertising or other materials inside or outside of the library without prior permission.

10Please do not move or rearrange tables and chairs within the library, and do not occupy reading seats with the personal items of others. Please do not leave items in the storage lockers overnight. Lockers are emptied at the end of each day, and loss of items is not the responsibility of the library.

11Please check the return date when borrowing books, and pay any overdue fines.

12Be civilized readers, abide by the regulations of the library consciously, and support library staff in accordance with the rules.
